Process Improvement Coordinator
Reports to: Continuous Improvement Manager
Department: Office
Job Status: Full-Time / Salary
Mobility Profile: On Location
Position Summary: Champion the continuous improvement of the production work environment and all facility production processes. Manage the entire communication center program for the facility. Serve as the Lean expert as needed to continuously improve production and process efficiencies, implement lean tools, and coordinate training programs as needed to support all the above. Maintain a High level of engagement with team members on the production floor and facility leadership.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Measure and document production processes throughout the plant.
- Identify critical production areas to focus on for process improvement.
- Provide data/reports in a presentable and professional manner to various teams within the organization.
- Integrate with the Operational Excellence home office team to drive new initiatives and report progress.
- Coordinate with the production team in process improvement, innovation efforts, and new tool/fixed asset implementation.
- Create and maintain SOP archive for all production processes.
- Develop and maintain a team member-based process improvement/Lean team with recurring meeting and action plans.
- Maintain process improvement tracking for real-time progress measurement. Engage the team members, help them to learn best construction practices and techniques, grow, and be their very best. Lead by example.
- Support the information culture on the shop floor by providing up-to-date SOPs at the point of use in the plants.
- Maintain and update all skills matrix, JTA’s, and task stackers in addition to all other OE production based documentation.
- Maintain a high level of engagement with the production leadership team and team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience with process development and controlled documentation
- Experience with lean principles and manufacturing systems
- Highly Proficient recording data and creating reports using Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Highly computer literate and proficient with technology.
- Ability to independently identify process documentation gaps and remedy quickly.
- Ability to create various spreadsheets for data and documentation tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain complex business processes
- Continuous willingness to learn, grow, and gain understanding as a leader in our organization
- Effective motivation skills and techniques to encourage team to meet performance objectives
- Honesty in all situations to cultivate an environment of trust
- Clear leadership attributes above and beyond normal job requirements.
- Effective communication skills (bi-lingual preferred)
- Positive influence with others
- Residential construction/manufacturing experience preferred
- 4 Year Degree is highly desirable
- 1 years’ prior Continuous Improvement experience
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, etc. strongly preferred
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
- Work could include use of standard office productivity equipment.

This is an exempt, salaried role with a starting range of $67,000-$80,000 for total compensation which includes base plus profit bonus.
