What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Coordinator (Part-time) position at Clayton County Board of Health?
Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour for 29 hours per week
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for content development and management, as well as digital and social media coordination. The focus will include designing, producing and distributing communication materials and marketing collateral for health department and district programs. You will develop, write and edit both internal and external communications, including press releases, website content, and social media updates. You’ll also collaborate with additional Office of Communications staff to create and schedule social media content. Monitor audience engagement and analyze marketing efforts. The position also involves tracking performance metrics and providing insight through detailed reports on campaign effectiveness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university OR at least one year of related experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite or Sprout Social)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
- Experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
- Experience in Graphic Design, Photo/Video Editing, Digital/Social Media editing
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Canva or other graphic design program
- Excellent grammar, composition and proofreading skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
