What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Theatre Technician position at Clayton County Public Schools?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Works aspects of theatre production in sound, lighting, stage, and counterweight fly system. Knowledge of safety regulations/procedures governing the operation of equipment. Ability to enforce policies and procedures while demonstrating excellent customer skills. Presents a professional appearance and demeanor while working with staff and clients. Exhibits team skills. Available part time for days, nights and/or weekend events. Reports to the Technical Specialist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical services in lighting, sound, and stage work, while working in support of both school and rental events at the Performing Arts Center.
The part time schedule is a flexible one that is built around the events that are scheduled each month.
KEY JOB REQUIRMENTS:
Expertise in at least one area of theatre production with an understanding that all areas must be mastered.
Entry level technicians are required to have expertise in lighting, sound, or stage, with the willingness to learn all areas.
