Position Overview

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day engineering operations, manage maintenance programs, and uphold brand and regulatory standards across all building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and direction to the Engineering team.
- Supervise all aspects of property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, laundry and kitchen equipment, and life safety systems.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and respond promptly to guest and operational service requests.
- Assist in the preparation and control of department budgets, monitor inventory, and track expenses to ensure efficient cost management.
- Oversee work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
- Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality service and compliance with service agreements.
- Ensure department coverage, including participation in the on-call rotation and occasional Manager on Duty shifts.
- Obtain quotes and coordinate small-scale capital projects or repair work as directed by leadership.
- Promote a culture of safety and enforce adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Minimum 5 years of hotel or commercial property engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Proven success in roles such as Engineering Supervisor, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
- Solid technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and regulatory documents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct in alignment with luxury hospitality standards.
