What we want you to do:
Staff Coaching, Training, and Onboarding
•Directly manages a small to medium team of Child Family Educators (CFE) in performing their daily operational responsibilities.
•Implement and manage a comprehensive onboarding process for new staff; provide ongoing professional development using adult learning principles. Including measures for family input into CFE performance.
•Ensure CFEs are adequately trained and meet all licensing and procedural requirements.
•Provide timely, constructive feedback and accountability measures to ensure service quality and staff growth.
•Lead, coach, and supervise Family Engagement staff; model strong relationship-building practices with families.
Family Engagement & Program Implementation
•Ensure alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and organizational goals.
•Assess and improve capabilities around family engagement - including methods, processes, and systems around goal setting and partnership engagement.
•Leverage data to understand how to improve services and support for families.
•Promote a strengths-based, family-centered approach that highlights family assets and supports their goals.
•Design and support larger family engagement strategies that activate families to steward and lead events, trainings, and other activities.
•Support monthly Policy Council governance meetings.
Collaboration & Communication
•Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach with other Clayton teams to ensure cohesive services.
•Establish protocols to engage with school managers and lead teachers for effective cross-management of family engagement.
•Model respectful, empathetic communication with staff, families, and community partners.
•Actively participate in relevant community events to develop an effective network of resources and partner organizations for families.
Systems & Compliance
•Monitor compliance in all areas of family services and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
•Leverage technology to effectively streamline operating processes.
•Provide reporting, beyond compliance, about the performance of family engagement.
•Oversee structured work plans and systems that support team performance and success.
•Guide staff in understanding the purpose behind compliance to drive meaningful engagement.

What you must have:
•Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field is required, Master's degree preferred. Head Start knowledge and experience is preferred
•Experience: 3 years of experience including managing and leading a team. Bilingual preferred
•Skills:
- Proven ability to manage, coach and lead staff toward individual and collective success.
- Strong balance of regulatory compliance and relationship-centered service.
- High proficiency with digital tools and organizational systems, including MS Office Suite.
- Strategic problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Collaboration-focused and team-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competency in affect, language, method, and delivery.
- Actively participate in professional development and other Clayton community events
•Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI/FBI fingerprinting. MVR and a national sex offender registry check
•Other: Ability to work flexible hours, Driver's license with evidence of vehicle insurance

Compensation:
●$68,000 to $72,000 annualized
