Production Manager

Position Summary: The PM is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team
· Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes
· Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines
· Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
· Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
· Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement
· Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
· Minimum 5 years relevant management experience
· Previous construction experience strongly preferred
· Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired
· Excellent planning and organizational skills
· Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
· Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
· Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
· Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired
· Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
· Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
· Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
· Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
· Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.

Pay Range & Benefits:
· Clayton Redwood Falls offers a competitive total compensation package. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation, 401K, Long and Short-Term Disability, and Tuition Reimbursement. Starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $140,000 and $175,000 annually and is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location. This position is a SALARY position and pay range does not include variable bonuses.
