What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Clayton Residential Home?
Clayton Residential Home is a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) located in the beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago. We provide recovery-based mental health services to adult individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders within a residential setting.
We are currently accepting applications for Maintenance Worker. In order to be considered for this position, interested individuals must:
· Possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or GED
· Have experience in planning and implementing repairs, construction, and equipment installation/maintenance including basic knowledge and ability to complete tasks such as painting, drywall, tile, flooring, plumbing, electrical, framing, door installation, and hardware installation.
· Be in good mental and physical health, have sound judgment, and a sincere desire to work with the facility’s population
· Be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a height of five feet, and be able to move and/or carry such weight for a minimum distance of 50 feet
· Have a working knowledge of standard equipment use and maintenance
· Be able to receive and carry out directives
· Be highly dependable and punctual
· Be able to work events, weekends, holidays, and in emergency situations whenever required
