Clayton Services is searching for a Collections Specialist to join a thriving company in the Southeast Houston area.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (approximately 30 hours/week)
Work Setting: Remote opportunity after initial onsite training is completed
Pay Rate: $24.00-$26.00/hour

Collections Specialist Responsibilities
Contact customers to collect outstanding payments via telephone, email, and mail.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer correspondence.
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action
Collaborate with accounting and sales teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Prepare and send regular reports on collection activities and account status
Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Other duties and projects as assigned

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organization skills
Excellent attention to detail
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to successfully meet deadlines and work independently
Collections Specialist Education And Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Previous Experience As a Collections Specialist Is Required.
Knowledge and understanding of billing and collection processes are required.
