Inventory Analyst

Clayton Services is searching for an Inventory Analyst to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $75,000-$85,000/year

Inventory Analyst Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute inventory strategies to help build an effective supply chain
• Drive successful interactions with vendors, the purchasing department, and warehouse associates
• Manage inventory, including optimizing stock, inventory planning, vendor operational improvement, forecasting, and shrink reduction.
• Prepare reports on inventory operations, stock, and adjustments
• Initiate process improvements and automation as necessary to improve manual data aggregation
• Review inventory position on new and current products
• Management inventory count process for local and out-of-state warehouses
• Assign count dates and coordinate appropriate resources
• Collect counts from the team, and identify discrepancies with the team
• Participate in periodic business reviews with the purchasing department
• Identify areas of operational improvement and lead recommendations
• Provide insights and information to help with inventory optimization
• Other duties as assigned

Inventory Analyst Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage and analyze large sets of data in Excel
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent analytical ability

Inventory Analyst Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is required
• A minimum of 3 years of planning/forecasting experience is required
• Previous experience working with NetSuite is preferred
• Previous experience working with SQL is a plus
