The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive range of student support services, including counseling, special education, academic advising, and student wellness programs. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting the overall well-being and academic success of our students, and will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families to ensure that all students have access to the support and resources they need to thrive. Overview The Director of Counseling is responsible for leading, managing, and enhancing the comprehensive student services program at Clayton Valley Charter High School. This role provides oversight and support to the high school counseling department and other student support personnel. The Director ensures that all counseling services align with the school's mission, policies, and educational goals while addressing the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. This role is essential in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

- Master’s degree in Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or a related field. - Valid Counseling Credential and Administrative Credential are required - Knowledge of academic advising, college admissions, and NCAA eligibility requirements. - Experience working with diverse student populations, including at-risk youth and students with special needs. - Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple programs. - Ability to collaborate with faculty, parents, and external agencies to support student success. - Extensive experience in school counseling, student support services, or educational leadership. - Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. - Knowledge of 504 regulations, mental health services, and crisis intervention strategies. - Ability to analyze data to assess program effectiveness and drive improvements.
