What will you do in this role?
The Oakwood Internship program is designed to be a rigorous introduction to Oakwood Homes and provide the tools & resources needed to successfully learn a specific function within the home building business. The program is designed as a 10-week Summer Internship program with job responsibilities and development opportunities. The standard program length is three-months with a common start date for all interns. Following the completion of the Oakwood Internship Program, we recommend applying for the Oakwood Rotational Program to solidify employment before graduation.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Must be creative and enjoy working in an environment that is mission-and-results driven, and community oriented
- Must exercise good judgement, coachable, and a passion to learn
- Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task
- Must be effective at prioritizing and adaptive to a fast-paced changing environment
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Highly resourceful team-player
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Real Estate, or a related field
- Experience in leadership/management roles
- Experience working independently while carrying out assignments based on instructions given
- Experience in the home building industry
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly
