Internship Program Details
- Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions.
- Internship dates are May 19th – August 8th 2025
- Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business.
- Interns will facilitate a presentation of their Summer project to Clayton Senior Leadership at the completion of their internship.
- Assist in the planning, writing, reviewing, and publishing of a multimedia news release, and an external news event.
- Support the day to day media monitoring and tracking
- Public relations skills that support career goals
- Understanding of media monitoring, pitching, press release writing, crisis management basics, and event planning
- Understanding of the Clayton enterprise and how each business works together by engaging with various stakeholders
- Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Communications, News Media, or related field
- Excellent presentation and communications skills required.
- Proficient writing skills
- Time management/ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Desired skills/experience: Previous intern experience in public relations or a newsroom, working on a school newspaper or publication, experience writing press releases and media pitches, experience in a media monitoring platform, and/or event planning
- Clayton’s internship program offers the opportunity for interns to complete real, value-add work projects while building both interpersonal and technical skillsets. Interns will gain insight into career paths within their chosen field of study, and many have the opportunity to continue employment with Clayton post-internship completion.
