We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insights Intern to join our HR team for the summer. The Insights Intern will work closely with our HR department to analyze workforce data, generate insights, and support HR decision-making. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in HR analytics, data analysis, and reporting while contributing to projects that enhance the team member experience and organizational performance.

Essential Functions

  • The Insights Intern will develop an understanding of the Retail business and various internal systems for data (e.g., HRIS, recruitment platforms, team member surveys).
  • Opportunity to interact with leaders and team members while learning the key components that drive the Retail business unit’s strategic direction and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze team member data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights related to workforce engagement, retention, performance, and recruitment.
  • Create reports and dashboards that help HR leadership make data-driven decisions on team member engagement, hiring practices, and talent development.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for HR initiatives.
  • Participate in various HR projects such as workforce planning, performance management, and team member experience.
  • Support ad-hoc requests for data analysis and reporting in Workday, and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau (experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus).
  • Knowledge of HR processes such as recruitment, performance management, and team member engagement are beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and compelling way.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to connect and work within a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
