Position Summary: Ensure a World Class Team Member Orientation and Training Program experience. Provide administrative support for the TMX initiatives and work closely with the Production leadership.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate New Hire Orientation program
- Ensure new hires have a thorough understanding of all information provided during orientation
- Implement home building group training programs and initiatives
- Design training presentations, materials and exercises to reinforce understanding of manufacturing processes with solid experience in multiple departments
- Ability to create new or customize existing training tools, guides, or course materials, to conduct job skills safely and efficiently.
- Track and evaluate training results to assess short- and long-term effectiveness of learning programs to support turnover and retention efforts.
- Partner with production leadership to conduct job skill performance assessments to measure team members competency for the job skills and document the performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to select department trainers and provide coaching necessary for their success
- Ensure the effectiveness of training provided and follow up with Team Members on their effectiveness in assigned department
- Understanding EHS Safety program, DAPIA/Quality processes, and production efficiency
- Work in partnership with the Process Improvement Coordinator to maintain a strong understanding of trends in training, learning, and development of the manufacturing industry
- Interact and assist all new hires throughout their first 90 days of employment, with daily communication for the first 30 days of employment
- Work with production leadership to schedule training events to prevent excessive production interruption.
- Assist the TMX Manager with Team Member Experience initiatives and projects as needed
- Work with Production Manager to select and provide training for trainers who lead job skills training
- Ability to travel to Home Office for completion of required training programs
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Degree in Training & Development or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years related experience in training and development
- Strong facilitation, instruction and coaching skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time
- Computer literate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and positively at all levels, including internal and external customers, peers, managers, and the home office.
- Bi-lingual in facilities that are predominantly Spanish speaking
- Capable of handling and maintaining highly confidential information
- Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
