Direct Support Professional (DSPs) or Support Service Provider (SSP)

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) or Support Service Provider (SSP) to work with an individual with special needs. While this individual is very independent, he needs help with his personal care and activities of daily life. He enjoys going out into the community daily and enjoys watching television, playing basketball, and swimming. Applicants must be responsible, respectful, physically fit, caring and supportive. In addition, applicants must be willing to submit background checks and random drug screening. Additional duties include driving the client out in the community, therefore applicants must have a car in good working condition, a valid driver license, and up to date car insurance with inspection. Mileage will be re-imbursed. Starting salary is $25 per hour, based on experience and performance. Please provide 3 professional/employment references with your application.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including group homes and assisted living facilities.
• Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and document patient observations, ensuring their health and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans.
• Drive clients to appointments and community activities, ensuring their mobility and engagement.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
