Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed.
- Assist in restocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
- Process returns and exchanges according to store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Take incoming phone calls and relay messages
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues amicably.
- Experience operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with retail sales processes and techniques for selling products effectively.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash handling tasks.
- Understanding of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is a plus but not required.
