Our company is looking for an experienced deck carpenter to join our team. We specialize in custom composite and wood decks. We need a carpenter with deck trim and rough carpentry experience who loves thinking outside the box. The ideal candidate will have his or her own basic hand tools and be willing to travel within a 30-mile radius. Most work is on-site. For the right applicant. Job Description:
- Frame decks and pergolas as needed for client
- Select and evaluate materials for defects
- Install composite and aluminum rail systems
- Follow all code requirements for deck and pergola projects
- Dig and pour concrete piers using mini-skid loader
Skill Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in finish deck carpentry
- Additional 4 years’ experience in rough deck carpentry
- Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw
- Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
- Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds
- Knowledge of lumber grades and sizes
- Knowledge of TimberTech and Trex deck installation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
