Clean for ME is a fast-growing company that is focused on cleaning and turning over short term rental properties. Similar to hotels, we have a short window to get everything done and ready for the next guests. Unlike hotels, we are traveling between properties throughout Southern Maine. Our primary goal is to provide an excellent experience for the guest, peace of mind for the hosts and a great work environment for our teams. The cleaning is mission critical for our clients and for us and the details are increasingly important in the short term rental world.
As a short-term rental cleaner, your primary responsibility is to ensure properties are spotless and welcoming for guests, including cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, and changing linens, all while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.
Below is the job description to become a member of our Cleaning Team:
CLEANER
- Ability to clean assigned units to the company standard, disinfecting all surfaces, using given tools and equipment.
- Ability to communicate promptly any issues with a property, or with missing or broken items.
- Ability to use technology based programs to get necessary information on cleaning tasks, specific assignments, directions, etc.
- Have your own smart-phone that can accommodate such programs without restrictions.
- Ability to photograph damage or any issues in a unit that need to be communicated to the owner or used to help underscore need for additional time cleaning.
- Able to work independently or with a team to complete all assigned tasks at each property or laundry hub.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to get all tasks done well and in assigned time
- Ability to physically clean properties assigned, reach, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs. As it relates to general needs during the cleaning process
- Ability to take direction from supervisors and accommodate frequent adjustmentsin assignments and tasks.
- Ability to problem solve quickly and make decisions independently based on knowledge and expectations if the situation is out of the norm.
- Ability to self-check a unit for cleanliness and neatness for incoming guests.
Skills:
- Experience in residential cleaning, hotel housekeeping or custodial work is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers and supervisors
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality cleaning results every time
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and product suitability for various surfaces
- Ability to manage time efficiently while completing tasks within designated timeframes
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied hours, including some weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, fun yet accountable demeanor
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and handle cleaning supplies
- Reliable smartphone and ability to use app software to see, manage and report activities and schedules
