Job Summary
We are seeking a Receiving Chemist Trainer to train/mentor new and existing employees toward Drum Receiving/Lab Pack coding operations within our facility. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Sample incoming drums and perform basic analysis following prescribed procedures.
- Calibrate and utilize lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis.
- Complete paperwork associated with waste analysis and drum sampling, ensuring all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
- Properly manage waste generated from testing procedures.
- Assure drums are properly coded and assigned a label or profile.
- Operate a forklift to transfer drums throughout the warehouse.
- Create, edit, and review Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Analysis specific to area of operation.
- Perform weekly audits and maintain training records.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Windows-based computer applications.
- Previous experience in Receiving Chemist position preferred.
- Completion of college-level Chemistry class.
- Previous experience operating electric forklift, propane forklift, and scissor lift.
- An excellent commitment to Health & Safety.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- DOT Training.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
- Climb on and off forklifts.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Climb vertical ladders.
- Reach out, over, and down exerting a force.
- 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected.
- Punctuality and attendance required.
