Safety-Kleen Environmental is eager to welcome a motivated Containerized Waste Business Development Specialist to our passionate team! This role is essential for driving profitable revenue growth for our Containerized Waste Services (CWS) business line. Please note that this is a 100% Business Development position, and applicants should reside in Marlborough, MA, Salisbury, MA, Cranston, RI, West Brookfield, MA, or Barre, VT.

  • Achieve revenue growth in assigned territories for SKE CWS Services, meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual goals consistently.
  • Bring in new profitable business through cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing customer relationships.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for SKE CWS Services in your territory, possessing thorough knowledge of our services, operations, and competitors.
  • Analyze competitive pricing and market dynamics to ensure favorable win rates and adequate margins.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to formulate and implement effective market strategies and business objectives.
  • Participate in Business Development and District Sales meetings to communicate effectively with local Sales Representatives and Account Managers.
  • Develop and implement a business strategy that highlights each customer's unique value proposition and influence their decision-making process.
  • Focus on cross-selling opportunities among our services, coordinating with the appropriate sales agents when needed.
  • Keep local Business Development agents informed about specific capabilities to enhance customer communication.
  • Communicate your plans in advance when contacting customers owned by other sales agents.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales interactions and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the environmental industry or sales is essential.
  • Experience with waste determination and disposal technologies is highly preferred.
  • Proven skills in business development and market penetration are necessary.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are a must.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Subject matter expert in the CWS product line.
  • Experience using Salesforce for account management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel weekly within the territory, and overnight travel as necessary.
