Job Description
The Instrument & Electrical Supervisor is responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, PLC Logic programming, and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments to reduce downtime and ensure the facility's optimal working condition.
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting instrument and control malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance checks and calibrations using manufacturers' manuals and electronic testing equipment.
Additionally, the supervisor will maintain accurate records and logs as required of calibration checks, install new systems and controls, including power wiring, electrical, and CEMS, and be responsible for all aspects of the plant control system, HC900 PLC, Wonderware Intouch HMI, and Wonderware Historian.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman's License preferred
- 5 years of electrical experience
- Proficient in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
- Proficient in process and instrumentation diagrams
- Proficient in PLC Ladder logic trees
- Computer savvy
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work off-hours and on an on-call basis
- DOT Training
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist level
- Climbing up and down vertical ladders
- Capable of reaching out, over, and down exerting a force
- 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
- 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups (to determine if fit)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Valid Driver's License required
- Punctuality and attendance required
- Respirator fit test upon hire - clean-shaven face required (mustache okay)
- Background check, drug screen, and physical required
