Electrical Instrumentation and Maintenance Role
Clean Harbors is looking for an experienced Instrument & Electrical Supervisor to join our team. As an essential member of our operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal working condition of our facilities by performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, PLC logic programming, and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments.

As an essential member of our operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal working condition of our facilities by performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, PLC logic programming, and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on instrument checks and calibrations.
- Assist the electrical and maintenance departments.
- Reduce downtime and ensure the facility's optimal working condition.
- Install new systems and controls, including power wiring, electrical, and CEMS.
- Be responsible for all aspects of the plant control system, including programming, HMI graphics, troubleshooting, backups, documentation, etc.
- Install cabling, power distribution systems, motor control centers, serve, and replace motors, lighting, and perform general electrical maintenance work.
What You Need to Succeed
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman's License Required.
- Working rotating shifts, Days/Nights Required.
- 5 plus years of electrical experience.
- Proficient in blueprint reading of electronic schematics.
- Proficient in process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Proficient in PLC ladder logic trees.
- Computer savvy.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work off-hours and on an on-call basis.
- DOT Training.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waist.
- Climb up and down vertical ladders.
- Capable of reaching out, over, and down exerting a force.
- 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical.
- 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups (to determine if fit).
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Punctuality and attendance required.
- Respirator fit test upon hire-clean shaven face required (mustache okay).
- Background check, drug screen, and physical- required.
- MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS DAYS/NIGHTS- NO EXCEPTION
