What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Compliance Manager position at Clean Harbors?
At Clean Harbors, we prioritize health and safety above all else. Our Environmental Compliance Manager ensures our facilities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations for environmental affairs and health and safety. This involves conducting regular reviews of our facilities to identify potential non-compliances and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for advising corporate and facility management on procedural and operational measures to correct or minimize non-compliant activities regarding environmental regulations. You will also apply for environmental permits, maintain schedules for renewals, reporting, and provisions of all environmentally related permits, and prepare and maintain environmentally related plans and procedures for facilities.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will serve as a liaison between facilities and outside contractors, and regulatory personnel on all environmentally related projects and activities. You will coordinate and accompany regulatory personnel during all facility inspections and perform audits of external facilities to ensure they are properly permitted for use and operating in compliance.
If you have a background in environmental science or engineering, knowledge of EPA laws and regulations, and experience with RCRA 40 CFR hazardous waste management, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
