Job Description
This position is responsible for the safe and successful execution of jobs across all service lines and various other responsibilities. The Equipment Operator serves as a representative of Clean Harbors in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine to allow complete movement of the head and neck;
Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydroblast shotgun and other hydroblast equipment;
Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet;
Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of five (5) foot inside diameter;
Hold the back thrust of 50lbs. on a straight 66" pipe for a minimum of one (1) hour;
Must be physically capable of using both negative pressure and air supplied respirators;
Duties include driving heavy equipment for long periods;
Must be able to wear protective clothing and/or equipment;
Work under extreme climate conditions relative to geographic location;
Exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids;
Noise levels exceed 85 dBA (hearing protection is provided and required).
