About the Position
Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Environmental Operations Specialist to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites.
- Up to 40% overnight travel, with hotel and per diem provided
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, no auto restriction
- Average start time is 6 am, with a Monday through Friday schedule
- Typically, a 55–65-hour work week, with overtime after 40 hours
- On call as needed
Main Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs
- Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
- Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
- Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
Essential Skills
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Ability to use various mobile devices
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
