Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and equipment at our Seymour, CT location. As a Diesel Mechanic and Equipment Handler, you will ensure that all company-owned vehicles are in good working condition, performing routine maintenance tasks, and addressing any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair company-owned vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment
- Conduct daily inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
