IS Technician

**Job Title:** IS Technician

Thompson Industrial Services LLC is currently looking for an IS Technician to perform tasks associated with handling hazardous materials during Chemical Cleaning.

**Position Type:** Full-Time (with Benefits)

**Work Environment:** Industrial, outdoor setting

**Work Location:** Reserve, LA

**Work Schedule:** 40 Hour work week or as needed by facilities

**Travel:** 75%

Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen/hair follicle test and have a valid TWIC card.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting in a safe manner
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects
• Operate light and heavy equipment, handle various hand tools and powered industrial tools, and work with vibration-producing tools
• Wear and properly use personal protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work in atmospheres and locations with potential exposure to chemical and physical agents
• Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and at elevations including working from ladders and scaffolding
• Safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements

Physical Demands:

• Ability to wear protective clothing or equipment
• Ability to work under extreme climate conditions
• Ability to withstand exposure to dust, chemical, and environmental fumes

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation

• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's license
• Previous relevant labor experience
• Valid TWIC Card
