What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator Oil Recycling position at Clean Harbors?
We are seeking a flexible team player to join our North Las Vegas team! As an Operator for our Antifreeze plant, responsibilities include but not limited to: tank re-refinery process operations, recording tank gage readings and for completing tank transfers and other associated paperwork along with assisting other team members when required.
Wage - $20-26hr depending on experience

- Samples process streams and assists with tank farm operations as necessary
- Gauge all process tanks every hour.
- Complete tank transfers to control inventory.
- Obtain routine process samples, completing lab tests to verify product quality.
- Loading, unloading and washing of the trucks
- Switch and change process filters as needed.
- Assist other operators as needed
- Complete housekeeping tasks in plant
What does it take to work at Thermo Fluids?
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years of previous experience, preferably in industrial environment (refinery, processing plant, or production/manufacturing experience)
- Tank farm experience is preferred
- Loading and unloading railcars, tankers and trailers a plus!
- Distillation knowledge would be an asset
- Basic understanding PLCs, PIDs, Blue Prints
- Mechanically inclined – Pump experience and/or repair is a plus!
- Ability to effectively communicate refinery changes – Strong communication
- Basic math skills
- Great team player
- Ability to follow Lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, climb, work at heights
