Clean Harbors is excited to announce an opportunity for a Traveling Environmental Field Inspector . In this essential role, you will conduct a variety of response actions, including Release Abatement Measures, Immediate Response Actions, and Phase I and II investigations at hazardous waste sites. While the primary work location will be in Massachusetts, occasional nationwide travel may be required, lasting up to 6 weeks at a time.

A bachelor's degree in engineering, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is essential. Familiarity with Massachusetts Contingency Plan and environmental guidance policies is beneficial, though training will be provided.

Location : Massachusetts

Pay : $25 DOE

  • Per Diem available daily, travel costs covered by the company.

  • Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Prioritizing Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
  • Assisting with small to midsize, technically complex projects involving groundwater sampling and waste site cleanup.
  • Preparing data tables and writing detailed reports.
  • Acting as a representative of the business, developing relationships with key clients, and addressing their needs.
  • Overseeing technicians to meet project objectives and budgetary expectations.
  • Providing technical support to field service offices and participating in the on-call rotation.
  • Managing procurement for projects, including materials, equipment rental, and subcontractor services.
  • Communicating relevant information effectively to team members and management.
  • Supporting proposal preparation, project cost estimates, and procurement processes.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by management as needed to support Clean Harbors operations.
  • What qualifications are needed to succeed at Clean Harbors?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • A strong safety orientation and commitment to safety protocols are essential.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor as needed.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, equipped with Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record are mandatory.
