The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, values-driven leader with a deep commitment to environmental justice and community-driven change. They must possess exceptional communication, fundraising, and strategic skills, as well as the ability to navigate the complexities of nonprofit leadership while fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with proven success in fundraising, donor cultivation, and grant management. They will also have strong knowledge of local government systems, legislative processes, and environmental justice policies, and experience collaborating with a working Board of Directors and engaging them in organizational growth.
Prior experience developing and implementing operational policies, procedures, and budgets is essential, as is access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, as regular travel within the region is required.
