Janitorial Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is vital in supporting the overall operations of our facilities through effective cleaning and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
• Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with residential painting projects as needed, contributing to facility upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Execute custodial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, and window cleaning.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Serve as a porter when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or setups.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate facility schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.59 - $18.41 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
