THE ROLE
The Event Manager serves as a crucial link between the sales team and operations, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of client events. The Event Manager will oversee all aspects from post-sale to event completion, focusing on client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and successful event outcomes.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for client’s post-sale, guiding them through the
event preparation process and acting as the subject matter expert until the event concludes.
Event Coordination: Oversee the execution of events, ensuring alignment with client expectations and
company standards. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure all logistical aspects are handled
efficiently.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring all inquiries and communications are responded to according to company standards. Ensuring all interactions are recorded in CRM to keep a detailed record of client engagements.
Financial Oversight: Assist in managing financial aspects related to events, including timely invoicing and overseeing the payment process. Escalate any issues related to delayed payments to sales managers or the VP as necessary.
Performance Tracking: Utilize client feedback and internal reports to monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or related field
preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of proven experience in event management, preferably with a background
in coordinating corporate social responsibility (CSR) events.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during events.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to travel up to 50% during peak seasons to manage and supervise events.
