Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct thorough floor care, including buffing and polishing as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required to support facility maintenance.
- Collaborate with the facilities maintenance team to address any custodial needs or repairs.
- Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as necessary for events or maintenance activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment consistently.
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks effectively throughout the shift.
