Director of Plant Operations
Job description: Manage day-to-day operations of facility. Work alongside managers, supervisors, and staff to complete daily tasks when needed. Supervise all facility staff and maintain efficient operations. Ensure production goals are met or exceeded, and facility downtime is kept to a minimum as it relates to staffing, equipment maintenance and product shortages. Oversee quality control processes and safety protocols. Identify areas of potential improvement and process optimization. Provide guidance and support to facility managers and supervisors. Adhere to all safety protocols including but not limited to company and OSHA standards. Maintain an organized working environment. Work collaboratively to meet company goals.
Reports to: General Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management or related field preferred
- 5 years manufacturing facility experience
- 5 years management experience
- 5 years operational experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations including OSHA
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have or be willing to obtain a COVID vaccination
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily facility operations across all departments
- Complete daily inspections as required of plant equipment, facility and products
- Manage preventative maintenance program and assign tasks daily
- Establish and maintain timelines for all plant operations
- Create immediate action plans for unforeseen circumstances as they arise
- Maintain accurate inventory records with reports and counts as required
- Always maintain a safe and secure facility
- Monitor cleanliness of facility and products
- Make necessary decisions regarding plant operations in a timely manner
- Manage all plant staff and conduct daily resolution meetings
- Conduct one on one meetings with leadership team bi-weekly
- Other duties as assigned
