Maintenance Manager
Job description: Manage and oversee engineering department within the plant including scheduling, hiring, performance reviews, discipline and termination or team members. Manage maintenance projects both scheduled and emergency to keep plant operations running at full capacity. Manage budget and costs of the engineering department. Create and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and systems. Maintain a strong knowledge of the plant including all equipment, systems, ongoing projects, repairs and installations. Adhere to all safety protocols including but not limited to company and OSHA standards. Maintain an organized working environment. Work collaboratively to meet company goals.
Reports to: General Manager/Corporate Chief Engineer
Requirements:
- Degrees or certifications in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, or other fields HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Stationary boiler license preferred
- 5 years of management experience
- 7 years of manufacturing or production plant maintenance experience
- Strong technical skillset
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
- Ability to enter and work in small, tight, dark or secluded spaces for long periods
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have or be willing to obtain a COVID vaccination
Key Responsibilities
- Manage CMMS program
- Ensure on-time completion of departmental tasks
- Manage department budget and monitor all orders for the facility
- Provide hands on support to departmental staff as needed to maintain facility operation
- Create and maintain preventative and corrective maintenance project schedules
- Communicate with facility leadership on the status of ongoing, upcoming or emergency maintenance projects
- Other duties as assigned
