On-Call Cleaning Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician as a private contractor. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. The contractor will have experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in residential and commercial spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through effective floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Assist with custodial duties to ensure all areas are well-maintained and presentable.
• Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operations.
• Engage in residential painting projects when necessary, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $19.21 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week

Schedule:

• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
