Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide support for cleaning operations in the absence of regular cleaning technicians, with availability for shifts between 6:30 PM and 12:00 AM, depending on the schedule that needs to be covered. Work shifts are limited to 5 days or up to 12 to 20 hours per week. Candidates are eligible for a $1 hourly pay increase on Saturdays and a $2 hourly pay increase on Sundays [Saturdays and Sundays, subject to the applicant’s availability or necessity for support.]
- Willingness and ability to travel to various sites and cities, which may include Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Portsmouth, as necessary to provide support. (Mileage expenses will be reimbursed at a rate of 65.5 cents per mile)
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
- Vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, scrubbing restrooms, dusting furniture, and emptying trash cans
- Cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, replacing light bulbs, restocking restrooms, and performing minor repairs
- Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
- Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
- Fill out the checklist of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs
- Capture before and after photos or videos of cleaned areas with significant differences to highlight the quality of our service, at least once a month
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Previous experience in cleaning and janitorial work preferred
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent stamina and physical health
- Must be willing to undergo a background check

Compensation: $13.00 per hour
