We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning tasks and specialized services.
Responsibilities
- Perform general custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in assigned areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain floors through regular buffing and care to enhance their appearance and longevity.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain the aesthetic of the facilities.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored; manage inventory as required.
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and recycling to promote sustainability within the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with staff and visitors.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
