Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Commercial Supervisor to oversee field operations from 1 PM to 8 PM. This role involves supervising technicians, performing quality inspections, managing supplies, handling call-ins, securing accounts, and participating in monthly meetings. You will also assist in training new staff and support the growth of new accounts.
Note: This is not a sales position. Applicants who do not complete the application will not be considered. Must be able to travel within our service area (Greenville and surrounding). Must be able to pass a background check. Interviewing will not begin until the week of 4/14.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Support: Lead technicians during their shifts, providing guidance and ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough checks of completed work to ensure it meets company and customer standards. Address and resolve any issues promptly.
- Supply Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of tools, materials, and supplies. Report shortages or maintenance needs to management.
- Call-In Coverage: Manage after-hours call-ins or urgent customer requests. Dispatch technicians as needed to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Account Security: Secure all work sites at the end of the shift, ensuring that tools, equipment, and premises are safely locked and secured.
- Team Collaboration: Attend monthly meetings to discuss field operations, share updates, and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Training and Onboarding: Assist with training new employees, covering company policies, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Account Development: Support the growth of new accounts by providing quality service and building positive client relationships.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Supervisor or in a similar role, with a focus on technician management and quality control.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
- Experience managing inventory and field operations.
- Problem-solving skills to address after-hours issues and customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and management.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work an afternoon-to-evening schedule (1 PM - 8 PM) and respond to urgent requests as needed.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role or handling client relationships is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
