Cleanleaf is seeking an Operations Center Control Room Operator to join our growing team!
ABOUT THE ROLE :
The Control Room Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of renewable energy facilities. Their responsibilities include monitoring, controlling, and responding to various system parameters to optimize energy production. They are responsible for the real-time operation of Cleanleaf's obligations, managing Generator Operator (GOP) requirements, and interacting with Balancing Authorities (BA), Generator Owners (GO), Field Technicians, and other departments and stakeholders. The Control Room Operator will work from Cleanleaf's operations center in Irving, TX.

Safety Duties and Responsibilities :
- Read, understand, and sign all safety procedures.
- Attend weekly safety meetings.
- Complete all required safety training.
- Ensure every safety incident is reported timely and accurately.
- Ensure every safety incident is fully investigated and documented and that corrective actions are implemented.
- Core Responsibilities :
- Monitoring and Control :
- Continuously monitor the status of renewable energy generation systems (solar, wind, etc.) through sophisticated control systems.
- Remotely control equipment and processes to optimize energy production and maintain system stability.
- Analyze data from various sensors and instruments to identify and respond to potential issues.
- Creation of a work order for documentation of Maintenance
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance :
- Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions and system anomalies.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and, when necessary, coordinate with on-site maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and incidents.
- Communication and Coordination :
- Communicate with other operators, technicians, and management personnel to coordinate operations and maintenance activities.
- Interact with grid operators and other stakeholders to ensure grid stability and reliability.
- Provide clear and concise reports on system performance and operational status.
- Data Analysis and Reporting :
- Collect, evaluate numerical data, and complete both internal and external reporting.
- Maintain detailed records of events and activities in the control room operator log book.
- Perform electronic data entry of pertinent operational conditions into the site performance database.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Essentially, These operators are the eyes and ears of renewable energy facilities, working to maximize energy production while maintaining system safety and reliability. As renewable energy becomes a larger part of the energy grid, the role of control room operators will become increasingly important.

The targeted pay scale for this role is $30 / hr-$36 / hr. Actual compensation will be based on an assessment of factors including the successful candidate's experience, skill, and other job-related factors.
