FACILITY MANAGER
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The following list is a synopsis of position responsibilities. This is only a guide. From time to time, employee may be required to perform duties not specifically indicated below. Senior Management shall ensure that the employee is properly trained in every duty he/she is required to perform.
Ø Responsible for overall facility management and performance. This includes maintaining communication with Senior Management, Cleanlites facility personnel and other management and administrative personnel while guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Ø Ensure all processes and procedures are implemented and Cleanlites complies with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws including Hazmat Material, Hazmat Transportation, OSHA, DOT and any other standards designated. Assist in updating and developing new operations procedures as necessary.
Ø Responsible for hiring, training, evaluation, termination, and supervision of facility personnel, both Cleanlites employees and temporary staff, with direction and approval from Senior Management.
Ø Recognition and understanding of the various materials accepted for recycling including the different grades of electronics and metals that are received and generated during the recycling process along with ensuring that designated personnel are properly trained and recognize and understand the various materials.
Ø Responsible for overseeing the scheduling of material into and out of facility in a timely and cost-effective manner and ensuring the proper labeling, marking and containerization of the material per Federal, State, Local and International laws.
Ø Understand all office procedures and computer programs. Includes the review and approval of invoices to guarantee proper and timely payment, along with researching and approving products and services to ensure that Cleanlites is receiving the best and most cost-effective available.
Ø Thoroughly understand and ensure the implementation of Cleanlites Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan and Emergency Procedures as appropriate along with ensuring that all relevant employees are properly trained.
Ø Understand Federal and State rules and management Standards regarding Universal / Hazardous Waste classification /disposal (as appropriate) of fluorescent and HID lamps, batteries, mercury devices, lighting ballasts/fixtures, capacitors, aerosols, airbags and computer / electronic equipment along with any other materials designated. Includes training facility employees and the ability to discuss and explain rules to clients as appropriate.
Ø Ensure employees are trained and understand the rules and regulations regarding Universal and Hazardous Waste handling and transportation standards along with the operating procedures for any machinery (i.e. Lamp Machine, ) specific to the location(s) being managed.
Ø Oversee and conduct environmental audits and tours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
