Job Summary:
The Hardware Repair Lead plays a crucial role in CleanSpark's Bitcoin Mining Operation, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our cryptocurrency mining equipment. This position is responsible for supervising a team of technicians, leading product testing and validation, managing inventory, developing project timelines, and maintaining detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of technicians in performing repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Lead product testing and validation of hardware components (i.e. hash boards, power suppliers, fans etc.)
- Manage inventory, including procurement and backlog
- Develop and maintain project timelines, metrics, and resource allocation
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently according to guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to mining operations
- Monitor metrics/KPIs for team's location
- Assist team with ancillary tasks as needed to meet departmental objectives
Qualifications:
~3 years technician experience in an industrial or commercial environment
~ Strong understanding of electronic components, technical drawings, and specifications
~ Knowledge of inventory tracking
~ Excellent hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills
~ Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and handle small and delicate components without causing damage
~ Familiarity with Antminer Series 17 & 19 equipment and Bitman repair certification are plus points
