Clear Align seeks an experienced Diamond Turning Technician with excellent priority management skills who is highly organized with a strong ability to multitask and a great attention for detail. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating Diamond Turning Polishing machines, and equipment.
- Developing and applying grinding and polishing methods for optical components including spherical, flat, and aspheric components.
- Developing and applying quality control of producing optical components using conventional spindle polish.
- Setup of Diamond Turning Machines.
- Follow standard operating procedures for optic components.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conducting optical metrology equipment to include; Zygo Interferometer, Luphos, Talysurf and other measuring devices.
- Measuring radii, surface irregularities, lens diameters, thicknesses, and other element attributes
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in optics manufacturing environment
- Careful attention to details
- Working knowledge of optical MIL Specs, and MIL Standards a plus
- Demonstrated skill in computer documentation
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, including problem identification, analysis, action planning, and execution
- Conventional optics grinding/polishing skills a plus
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
