Would you like to work at a fast-growing outpatient imaging center? Join us! We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our imaging team in Frisco, Texas. This person will act as a closer and work a 10am-6pm shift. Pay commensurate to experience.
What does a Patient Service Representative do?
Responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and procedures.
The essential duties and responsibilities:
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner
- Checking patients in and out of the clinic which includes explanation of benefits, collection of co-payments, and having patients complete their paperwork
- Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, and assist callers with questions or concerns.
- Mailing and faxing reports
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies and printed forms
- Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator
- Perform closing duties
The ideal candidate for the Patient Service Representative will have the following minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior Medical Office Experience is preferred
- Skill in operating a computer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner and multi-line telephone.
- Skill in multi-tasking and preparedness to cover other front office and clinic functions as necessary.
- Ability to speak clearly, concisely and compassionately.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
