About the role :
We’re looking for a skilled Project Architect to take the lead on high-end residential projects. In this role, you’ll meet with clients to understand their needs, develop thoughtful design concepts, and guide the technical design process with a focus on quality and detail. A strong knowledge of materials, construction methods, and a passion for precision are essential. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in luxury residential project and be confident collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams. This role can work onsite in our Santa Barbara office, or remote from a home office in Ventura County or Los Angeles County.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary client contact throughout the design and construction phases.
- Lead client meetings to gather requirements, present design concepts, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Develop detailed architectural designs and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and standards including internal QAQC protocols. Collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure the successful execution of design intent.
- Provide expertise on materials and detailing.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Coordinate with visualization team, BIM Manager, and mentor junior design staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and innovations in high-end residential design.
- Provides on-site Construction Administration, including managing responses to RFI’s and submittals. Works closely with our Construction team to solve in-field questions.
