ELL Teacher Job Description
Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in English Language Learner Programs at the elementary level (K-1 grades) and high school level (9-12 grades).
Key Responsibilities:
The ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement ideas contained in technical documents, assessment data, professional journals and regulations.
Mathematical Skills:
The ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals and fractions.
Reasoning Ability:
The ability to solve problems effectively. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills to be delivered in a classroom setting for assigned students.
- Implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
- Assists in planning and delivery of social/emotional/behavioral school-wide programming.
- Collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
- Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
- Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 43 criteria on a consistent basis.
- Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Education required.
- Current teaching license with ESL K-12 Endorsement.
- Experience in classroom teaching preferred.
