What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Technician I position at Clear Creek ISD?
Provide Tier I technical support for all Technology systems at a campus or district wide. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or GED required, college preferred.
A certification or equivalent certification preferred.
Must pass Clear Creek ISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards.
Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by Clear Creek ISD.
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.
Ability to provide technical support to an assigned campus, location and PreK-12 community
Ability to understand operation of district standard equipment.
Ability to read, follow, and interpret software and hardware manuals.
Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining software/hardware technologies.
Working knowledge of network configurations, topologies, and installation.
Ability to properly diagnose and repair enterprise technology equipment.
Ability to properly configure and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing technical support to end users, preferably in an educational environment.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide Tier I support for all district technology systems at the campus/department level as well as district wide.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technology systems district-wide.
- Provide support to campus events
- Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete a written record of every service call.

- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
