Support the mission and strategic goals of Clear Creek ISD by providing leadership and expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the district’s curriculum and instruction, assessment and professional learning program in the areas of elementary Spanish language arts and secondary world languages and cultures. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
Master’s degree in educational administration or content area
Valid Texas teaching certificate required
Valid Texas mid-management certification preferred
T-TESS appraiser preferred

Effective organizational, communication, presentation, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel

Demonstration of instructional leadership
Technology skills to ensure integration of technology in teaching
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a classroom teacher
Supervisory experience or coordination of district level programming preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide instructional leadership and vision for the continuous improvement of the learning organization.
- Provide leadership, direction and expertise in the overall instructional program of the district.
- Direct content area instructional and curriculum services to meet students’ needs.
- Remain current in fields of curriculum and professional learning through attendance at state and national conferences and research of current literature in the areas of innovative instructional strategies and best practices.
- Conduct meetings with district and campus instructional leaders for the purpose of feedback, input, and recommendation.
- Participate in annual strategic planning and program evaluation to promote, plan, and implement on-going job-embedded campus-based professional learning.
- Serve on various advisory committees and planning teams.
- Develop, revise, and support implementation of district-wide curriculum based on local, state, and national curriculum standards.
- Support and reinforce the use of consistent curriculum design format for all curriculum documents.
- Coordinate the review and revision of curriculum documents as needed to reflect state standards and the state assessment plan as well as the district-developed curriculum scope and sequence.
- Interface with the Technology Department to ensure that all curriculum documents are available on the website for both staff and parent use and review.
- Conduct and document classroom visits in an effort to provide feedback, assistance, and support for district curriculum implementation.
- Plan for and provide effective professional learning that is based on research and best practices, supports the district curriculum, and incorporates the vision and mission of Clear Creek ISD.
- Participate in annual review of district goals for professional learning and ensure that these goals are consistently reflected and implemented in the content area professional learning plan.
- Assist instructional coaches (when applicable) with ensuring the direction, goals, and objectives of the district are understood and implemented.
- Work closely with instructional coaches using district and campus data to guide instruction to meet identified campus/student needs.
- Support campus administrators though job embedded professional learning and coaching.
- Support teacher leaders through ongoing communication, monitoring, and professional learning.
- Plan and present to campus and district staff professional learning consistent with district initiatives and best practices.
- Support the development of campus experts through professional learning in content, responsive instructional practices, and assessment development.
- Analyze student assessment data and feedback from staff as a method to assess current and future professional learning needs.
- Develop and monitor content area professional learning budget.
- Develop and facilitate district-wide assessments consistent with the district’s assessment policy and plan.
- Analyze student assessment data and feedback from staff as a method to assess efficacy of district-wide content area assessments.
- Coordinate development of district-wide assessments consistent with the district assessment plan utilizing input from teacher teams.
- Ensure accuracy of district-wide assessments and answer keys.
- Work collaboratively with Assessment and Evaluation to access and use district-wide assessment data to improve student achievement.
- Support the district mission and strategic goals.
- Follow the direction established by the superintendent and the Board of Trustees.
- Adhere to district procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Provide leadership in addressing the challenges facing the profession.
- Participate in activities that promote district and community relations.
- Prepare, maintain, and present all information, reports, and records as required.
