Job Description:
We are seeking motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as a Water Treatment Technician. In this role, you will install and operate water treatment systems with capacities up to 4,000 gallons per minute (gpm) and address various contaminants such as turbidity, pH, hydrocarbons, metals, and nutrients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and Operate Systems: Set up and manage water treatment systems, ensuring they function effectively.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, warehouses, and storage areas.
- Outdoor Work: Perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Travel: Frequently travel within Washington and across the US to different job sites.
- Instrumentation and Sampling: Learn and apply water quality instrumentation and sampling techniques.
- Paperwork: Complete necessary documentation, including Jobsite Hazard Analysis, Water Quality Data Logs, Daily Work Orders, and Delivery Tickets.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Exhibit mechanical skills or familiarity with lab instrumentation.
- Flexibility: Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (3 days or more) and be flexible with work hours, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable: Reliable with a problem-solving mindset.
- Mechanical Skills: Mechanical aptitude or experience with lab instrumentation is a plus.
- Weather Conditions: Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.
- Pre-Employment Checks: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and have a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is preferred. If you do not have one, the company may provide training.
