Summary/Objective
The Clear Creek Tahoe Security Officer is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for CCT employees; members and guests; and authorized visitors to the property. The ideal candidate has an empathetic and outgoing personality and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service in each and every interaction. CCT Security Officers are skilled communicators who can say "No" in an effective but friendly and professional manner, when necessary. They also understand the need for security and confidentiality and specialize in these areas.
Essential Functions

- CCT GateHouse Functions:
- Greet, determine authorization for, then track and monitor all visitors;
- Complete daily activity logs;
- Secure/maintain access via keys to all CCT common buildings;
- Accept package deliveries for CCT employees and residents;
- Other duties as assigned.
- CCT Patrol Functions:
- Respond to emergencies on property and assist 1st Responders as directed;
- Patrol all roads within CCT property using CCT marked vehicle;
- Control access to all CCT buildings daily, morning and night.
- Check and secure all exterior gates, and emergency access gates;
- Traffic speed and route enforcement;
- Write incident reports as needed;
- Pick up visible trash and debris along common areas of property;
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Security Officer position is not a managerial or supervisory role, although they should demonstrate informal leadership amongst other CCT employees and peers.
Work Environment
This job operates in a busy GateHouse environment and uses a company vehicle to access any part of the CCT property, at times in inclement weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, video surveillance DVRs, and a marked company vehicle. This role may occasionally use safety equipment such as AEDs, fire extinguishers, traffic flares and cones, etc., in the event of an emergency.
Degree of exposure to work conditions.
Qualifications
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This may be a full-time, part-time or flex-hours position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, 24 hours a day, including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime may be required at the direction of the Director of Security or the General Manager,
Travel
Travel is mainly local during any shift, including S. Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno or Truckee.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Drivers' license
CLEAR CREEK
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, Security or Law Enforcement.
- Working knowledge of computers and software like Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.
